What this tester shows
All inputs your browser receives from the controller through the Gamepad API: pressed buttons, how far each trigger is pulled, both analog sticks and every raw axis. It is the quickest way to check a controller after a repair, before buying a used one, or when a game doesn’t react to a button.
To find out whether a stick drifts, run the stick drift test – it measures the sticks at rest and grades the result.
Gamepad tester FAQ
How do I test my controller buttons online?
Connect the controller to your computer or Android phone, open this page and press any button so the browser can see it. Every button lights up while it is held, triggers show how far they are pressed, and the sticks move on screen.
Why does a button not light up?
Either the button is faulty, or the browser maps it differently. Controllers in a non-standard mode report buttons in a different order – check the “All axes” and button list, or switch the controller to X-input mode if it has one.
Why doesn’t vibration work?
Vibration depends on the browser and the connection. Chrome and Edge support it for many Xbox and PlayStation controllers; other browsers and some Bluetooth connections don’t pass it through.
Is this a stick drift test?
This page shows raw input. For a measured drift result with a score and deadzone suggestion, use the stick drift test.
