Good to know

  • Older DualShock 4 controllers often show some resting offset – small values are normal and hidden by game deadzones.

Grades use the peak resting offset. Method

  • No driftunder 3%Rests cleanly

My PS4 controller isn’t detected over USB – why?

Many micro-USB cables only carry power. Try a different cable or pair the controller via Bluetooth.

My PS4 controller drifts on the console but not here – what now?

Then the stick hardware is probably fine and the issue is game-specific. Increase the deadzone in that game’s settings, and make sure the controller’s firmware and the game are up to date.
